Congrats to the Permit.io Authorization Challenge Winners!

The results are in! We’re thrilled to announce the winners of the Permit.io Authorization Challenge.

This challenge invited developers to explore the future of access control by building applications that leverage Permit.io's powerful authorization-as-a-service platform. Participants chose from three prompts and showcased innovative approaches to managing authorization and access control in modern applications.

We reviewed medical systems, environment variable hosting services, hiring platforms, and more! There were so many fantastic submissions, and as always, it was very difficult to choose our winners. Participating in this challenge was no easy feat, so regardless of whether or not you win, we hope everyone is proud of what they accomplished.

Without further ado, our winners.

Congratulations To…

API-First Authorization Winner

@jamesrmoro brings access control to life with Castle of Keys, an interactive game that combines physical hardware with API-first authorization. Players assume roles like King or Cook and use RFID cards to navigate a castle, with access decisions powered by Permit.io's externalized policies.

Experience the fusion of physical and digital in this cool project!

Permissions Redefined Winner

@shivamkapasia0 enhances DevOps workflows with PermiForce, a sophisticated pull request approval system that integrates Azure DevOps with Permit.io. This tool enforces fine-grained, role-based permissions, ensuring that only authorized personnel can approve and merge code changes into protected branches.

Strengthen your CI/CD pipelines with dynamic, policy-driven access control!

AI Access Control Winner

@rohan_sharma introduces Access Granted, a document management system that implements fine-grained authorization for both users and AI agents using Permit.io. The application defines specific roles and permissions for AI agents, ensuring secure and controlled interactions with sensitive documents.

Explore how AI and human users can coexist securely within the same authorization framework.
